Tutorial: Creating Campaign

 

Campaign

 

 

Before creating campaign, user needs to record the following  master informations like

 

 

Through this interface outbound marketing campaigns with E-mail, SMS, Tele-calling, digital, seminars and other kinds of marketing collateral can be organized.   

 

Campaigns usually have one of the following primary goals:
 
Lead generation campaigns include email blasts, web seminars, conferences, and trade shows. These types of campaigns directly generate new prospects. In Sales force, the effectiveness of each campaign can easily be tracked in terms of new business generation.

 



 
There are four sections in the interface 'Information', 'Status', 'Grouping' and 'Planning'


 
Information
 
Campaign: Enter the name of the campaign (Mandatory)

 

Campaign Alias: Enter the brief name of the campaign (Mandatory)

 

Campaign Hierarchy: Select the hierarchy of the campaign (Mandatory). Records are in-built and can be selected from drop down list
 
Campaign Owner: Select the name of the campaign owner.(Record comes from Setup > Sales Team > Sales Person)

 

Parent: If campaign hierarchy is chosen as child then this field will be active. (Record comes from Setup > Campaign  > Campaign Type)

 

 

Status
 
Start Date: Enter start date of the campaign
 
End Date: Enter end date of the campaign

 

Active Upto: Enter the date upto which the campaign will be active

Status: Select the status of the campaign from drop down list (Mandatory). (Record comes from Setup > Campaign > Campaign Status)
 

Grouping
 
Campaign Type: Select the type of campaign. For example, print, electronic etc. (Record comes from Setup > Campaign > Campaign Type)
 
Campaign Sub Type: Select the sub type of campaign. For example if campaign type is 'Print' then 'Newspaper' will be one of the campaign sub types. (Record comes from Setup > Campaign > Campaign Sub Type)

 

Campaign Reference: Select the campaign reference name. (Record comes from Setup > Campaign > Campaign Reference)

 

Remarks: Enter remarks on grouping.

 
 
Planning
 

This section is not mandatory.


Budgeted Cost: Enter the budgeted cost of the campaign
 
Actual Cost: Enter the actual cost of the campaign

 

Target Group Size: Enter the target group size number
 
Expected Revenue: Enter the expected revenue figure

 

Expected Lead: Enter the expected number of lead
 
Expected Response (%): Enter the expected response percentage

 

Product: Select product name. (Record comes from Setup > Product > Product)

 

Campaign Duration: Select campaign duration among short, long and special event as required

 

For any file attachment with campaign data use Attachment tab and then use “Add New Row” Button.

 

 

From campaign list selecting any required campaign edit, delete etc. are possible.

 

 

 

 

While creating/editing any Campaign, “Lead Master” and “Opportunity Master” appear as individual tab in the header portion.

 

Lead Master: Whatever Leads generated/created tagging this particular campaign will appear here.

 

 

Opportunity Master: Whatever Opportunities created/generated tagging this particular campaign will appear here.

Campaign Import

 

Campaign can be imported using a proper Campaign import template. In this process users have to download the Campaign template from the given import menu. Then this template has to be filled with proper information. Then upload this template and validate for any error. If it shows success after validation then import this template data in the system using the import button.
