Code: Enter an abbreviated name or short name for the designation. For example SR MGR for Senior Manager, MGR for Manager, ACTMGR for Accounts Manager.
Description: Enter description of the designation
Belongs To: Provision has been given for further sub-grouping within a designation. Belongs to is only applicable for sub-designation. Select the name of the designation to which the designation belongs to.
Department: In case department wise designation is required, select the department to which the designation has to be tagged, else leave it blank. Example, if Accounts Manager is tagged to the Accounts department, then in the Organisation Master when we choose the Accounts department then only those designations which are tagged to Accounts will be available for selection.
Role: Pre-defined roles are provided. Roles can be tagged to designations. When roles are tagged to designations, a hierarchy becomes available for determining who can do the evaluation for a particular designation. This is used in evaluation by upper level in Appraisal Module. Appraisal module is in the Product Roadmap.
