This interface is used to capture the number of overtime hours for employees. Overtime calculation will be determined by the formula in pay structure definition which is linked to the overtime earning heads. The overtime factor, calculations days, working hours are picked up from the Overtime Setup. Overtime calculation is done during the payslip generation process using data from this interface and the overtime setup.

Period: Select the month for which overtime hours have to be entered for employees.
Pay structure: Select the pay structure for overtime calculation. Only those pay structures should be selected which have an Overtime earning head.
OT Head: Select from the overtime earning head which has been tagged to the pay structure selected above. The earning head in this entry and overtime setup has to be the same. It has to be the same overtime earning head because the overtime factor, calculations days, working hours are picked up as defined for this earning head in the overtime setup.
Employee: Select the employee(s) whose overtime hour to be captured. All or selected employees can be selected.
After providing the above information, click on the submit button to save the record.
During the Pay slip generation, hours will be picked from the above capture hours employee wise and overtime value will be calculated from the Over Time Setup. More details of the overtime process have been explained in the Over Time Process document.
