Tutorial: Creating Account

 

Account

 

 

Before creating account, user needs to record the following  master information

 

 

Through ‘Account’ interface the details of the account representing company or individual businessman can be updated.

 

Prospect Account details can be searched based on the criteria selected. The criteria includes 'Search by Account', 'Search by Type', 'Search by Mobile No.’, ‘Search by Web Site’, ‘Search by Email’ and 'Search by Remarks’.

 

 

By selecting any particular account menu user can create task, activity over it and also can see activity history. User can convert task to activity with the same process.

 

Creating Account

 

Account interface comprises of two segments namely ‘Information’ and ‘Address Details’

 

 

Information

 

Account Name: Enter the name of the account (Mandatory)

 

Alias: Enter brief name of the account

 

Type: Select the type of the account from drop down list (Mandatory).(Record comes from Setup > Transaction Type > Account Type).

 

Parent Account: Select name of the parent account if the parent account exists

 

Mobile1: Enter the mobile number of the contact person

 

Mobile2: Enter alternative mobile number of the contact person if any

 

Email1: Enter the email id of the contact person

 

Email2: Enter alternative email id of the contact person if any

 

Land Line: Enter the land line number if any

 

Website: Enter website url if any

 

Account Owner: This owner name will automatically appear on the text-box as owner is mapped with Sales Person & specific login user.(Record comes from Setup > Sales Team > Sales Person)

 

Other: Enter if there is any other number of the contact person

 

Remarks: Enter remark on the account

 

Priority: Select the priority of the account. (Record comes from Setup > Qualification Categorization > Priority)

 

Address Details

 

Address details has two sections - Billing Address and Shipping Address.

 

Address, Country, State, City and Postal Code are to be entered in each section.

 

Account Import

 

Account can be imported using a proper Account import template. In this process users have to download the Account template from the given import menu. Then this template has to be filled with proper information. Then upload this template and validate for any error. If it shows success after validation then import this template data in the system using the import button.
